| I learned Reiki One in 1989 when my then infant daughter was diagnosed with a heart defect and cancer. Gratefully I used Reiki to help both of us throughout three years of hospital stays. Now that she is a teen, I remain grateful for this great gift of Reiki. I became a teacher in 1993 and have taught numerous students. In 1995, I helped start a volunteer Reiki clinic in a local hospital. I have been a faculty consultant through the Program for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona ( Dr. Andrew Weil) for the past several years, taught a number of MDs and RNs and worked closely with medically ill patients. | |
