| I first became interested in alternative healing while going through recovery from a life threating illness. I felt the need to help in the healing process instead of "just leaving it to others". I turned to my Christian faith, knowing I was in God's hands; He is the one and only true healer; however,God also gives us the knowledge to help ourselves so I looked into many avenues to help with my healing. Through doctors I received the medical treatments I needed; I studied Alternative healing and one of the methods I discovered was how the body could help itself in the healing process if given a chance through proper nutrition , exercise and relaxation methods. The study of touch therapy brought me to Reiki. This was one of the simplest exercises I found that helped me feel I was doing my part to "be well again". I knew I wanted to share it with others. I completed Master Attunement and Training in November 1998. | |
