Janell has always had a passion for assisting people in reaching their goals and she pours her heart and soul into addressing her clients' needs. Janell earned her Bachelor�s degree in Psychology from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland and she earned a Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Mental Health from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She is board-licensed in the District of Columbia as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and in the state of Maryland as a Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C). As an intuitive counselor, life coach and energy healer, Janell specializes in energy healing, metaphysical life-coaching, spiritually-based therapy, treating women's issues, depression, anxiety, marriage and relationship issues, stress management and assisting with goal-setting and life planning. Janell combines Cognitive-behavioral, Mindfulness and Strengths-based treatment methodologies to formulate an eclectic and holistic therapy approach that is unique to her practice. She believes firmly in the practice of holistic and organic treatment and she works to address all aspects of the client addressing their physical, mental, and spiritual needs while simultaneously seeking to motivate clients toward healing and restoration by affirming their positive characteristics. Janell�s brand of therapy creates a place of acceptance for where the client is and promotes a sense of hope and excitement for where the client will go as they progress. She finds that teaching clients to incorporate both the physical and metaphysical into their healing process while encouraging them to examine not only the areas of their lives that are causing them turmoil but also those areas that bring them joy is paramount to their healing. Janell's goal is to teach clients to work through their past issues and make intentional effort to attract what they desire in life through the power of their thinking and actions. With Janell, clients will immediately begin learning new habits and adopting and implementing new behaviors while concurrently unlearning those beliefs and behaviors that are detrimental to their ultimate success. Through her professional practice and in her daily living, Janell's mission is to bring renewed energy, compassion, love and balance to the world by healing hearts, minds and lives. Janell wholeheartedly believes that all things are possible for ALL! Clients and colleagues describe Janell as funny, wise, warm-spirited, intuitive, caring, observant, inspiring, creative, a positive thinker and a good listener. In her spare time, Janell enjoys reading, singing and songwriting, spending time with her adorable six and two year-old sons, meditating, practicing yoga, appreciating nature, running and weight training.
